Indocumentados pero Trabajadores

The last post I publish about what the problem was here in the U.S. Well last time i received this comment that said: "Just bringing a different argument here. So you think we should give rights to illegal immigrants? Why should they become citizens if the US just gives them rights right out the bat? You said, "The legal people that are in the U.S, they were once illegal too." I'm not Mexican but I was born in the U.S, I was not illegal. If you are born in the U.S, you are automatically given U.S Citizenship. I know a lot of people in my old hood the need jobs to survive just like you said illegal immigrants do but they are not being hired because it is so cheap to hire Illegal immigrants." When I read this, I said in my mind this is racism don't you think?. This guy said that he was not illegal because he was born in the U.S, but what I was saying was that before the Social Security was invented, people from different countries came to the U.S. By then they were not called illegals, nor aliens now this people that came in first than us are calling us illegal and they were illegals too. Now that we are here in the U.S we come to work and pay taxes, that's what the government likes about us. But what if we were to live the U.S, what will the U.S do. We come here illegal, but we come to work, and we come for a better life. Now some people that are legal wants us out, and now they are building a bigger border fence. Don't you think that's too much for two friendly places?. But what will the U.S do when there is a day, with out a Mexican or immigrants. When we come here we come to work the U.S land and thats all we do, but still these people wants us out of here.

I'm a bit confused - you have a link on your text "not called illegals, nor aliens" to an article that deals with immigration and racism, but not what you are talking about in this sentence. Hyperlinks need to back up what you are saying. This one goes on a tangent, though it is interesting and related to your topic. You need to hyperlink to a credible source about early immigration in the 1700s and 1800s and how it is the same or different than today's immigration situation.

Again, you have a link on "a day without a Mexican or immigrants" which seems to imply that you are talking about a day where all illegal immigrants strike and show the US what real power they have in the economy. Is this what you are referring to? However, you link does not really deal with this. Your points will be taken more seriously if you hyperlink to related information on the issue. Hyperlink carefully, please. You should always be striving to back up your ideas with facts and statistics to show that they have validity.

I think in this blog that it is important to look at the arguments of others as well. Why are people frustrated with immigration issues? Is there any validity to the concerns? Work in this blog to look carefully at both sides of the argument, not just your own.
